Fistbump

Slang isn’t always easy to understand in a language, especially if you are still learning it. The other day I was talking with one of my international friends who is still taking ESL courses, and I said something about “park the car” because the emoji that I got in the previous text was a fist. When asked for the meaning, I said it meant “fist bump”. That was met with further confusion, so I sent a picture of the results that showed up on Google, because I couldn’t figure out how to describe what a fist bump is. Really, all I needed to say was that a fist bump is when two or more people bump their fists together. This is one example of those funny times when you know the meaning of something, but you can’t figure out how to make it go into words.
