Hey, preposition, where are you at?

**TRIGGER WARNING: abuse of caps lock, prepositions, and verbs**

When will people understand that English doesn’t work this way]]] Nobody but nobody in their right mind would say this! Say what, you ask? Oh, I am sooo glad you did!

“Hey dude, where you at?”

NOOO!!! IT DOESN’T WORK LIKE THAT! Not only are you missing a verb, but you ended a sentence with a preposition. HOW DARE YOU] Now, I’m not saying I’m perfect about not ending things with prepositions, but at least I remember the verb. HOW CAN PEOPLE FORGET THE VERB]]] I’m talking about native English speakers here when I say they should know better. WHY DO YOU PEOPLE DO THIS? Do you get some sick pleasure out of messing with grammar in front of other people that enjoy using grammar CORRECTLY? Do you just not know that what you are doing is wrong, terrible, and should not exist?

Do yourself and everyone around you a favor: go back to grade school English courses and not only learn HOW to use English grammar the right way, but *gasp* ACTUALLY USE IT! What point is there in learning it if you won’t use it? … You’re right – THERE IS NO POINT! So get your brain out of your *** and use verbs in your sentences! Or hey, take a ride on the wild side, and DON’T use a preposition at the end of a sentence!

So, what did you learn from this rant on why some people need to go back to elementary grammar? That’s right, you got the lesson engrained into you to REMEMBER YOUR VERBS!
